Samsung are memorii RAM DDR4 de 128 GB

Samsung a inceput de curand productia unor noi memorii RAM pentru PC de 128 GB. Vorbim despre memorie DDR4 si de un proces tehnologic tridimensional de tipul TSV (Through Silicon Via).

Sa fiu mai precis, Samsung va avea in curand o singura placuta de RAM DDR4 de 128 GB. Si asta gratiei tehnologiei TSV ce permite suprapunerea mai multor straturi de silicon, reducand astfel si consumul de energie, dar crescand performantele.

Cei 128 GB TSV DDR4 RDIMM sunt comprimati intr-un total de 144 de chip-uri, aranjati in 36 de module a cate 4 GB. Procesul de fabricatie este 20 nm.

Aceasta noua memorie va fi dedicata serverelor, urmand ca in urmatorii ani tehnologie sa fie mai accesibila si pentru consumatorii de rand. O astfel de memorie nu este ieftina si nici nu vei avea cum sa o folosesti, doar daca nu cumva ai o platforma X99 ce suporta oricum maxim 128 GB.
